API Key Security

Your API keys are protected with:

AES-256 encryption for stored credentials
Secure Transmission
All data sent over HTTPS only
Scoped Permissions
Trade-only access, never withdrawal
IP Whitelisting
Optional restriction to specific IP addresses
We recommend:
- Enable IP whitelisting on your exchange
- Use trade-only permissions (disable withdrawal)
- Create a dedicated API key for Vantixs only
- Never share or expose your API secret
Adding an Exchange
Connect Your Exchange
Navigate to Settings
Go to Settings → Exchanges in the Vantixs dashboard
Click Add Exchange
Select the blue "Add Exchange" button
Select Your Exchange
Choose from the dropdown list of 100+ supported exchanges
Enter API Credentials
Paste your API Key and Secret. Some exchanges require a passphrase too.
Verify Connection
Click "Test Connection" to ensure credentials work
Save & Confirm
Save the connection. You'll see a green checkmark if successful.
Testing Your Connection
After adding credentials:

Troubleshooting
Common causes and fixes:
- Check for copy/paste errors (extra spaces or characters)
- Verify the key hasn't expired on your exchange
- Confirm you're using mainnet keys (not testnet)
- Some exchanges require email verification after creating keys
Start with paper trading to verify everything works before adding real capital. You can use exchange testnet/sandbox environments for this.
